Joe has been an athlete for his entire life, born and raised in Thunder Bay, Joe enjoyed a healthy dose of Basketball, Soccer and Track & Field over the years, eventually becoming a collegiate Track & Field athlete. Joe was a varsity athlete at Lakehead University for the better part of six years competing in everything from the 100m all the way up to the 800m. At Joe’s best, he was ranked in the Top-20 in Canada for the 600m race, where he held the school record of 1:20.87. Since graduating from the faculty of education at Lakehead, Joe begun a career coaching Track & Field in Thunder Bay, where he has been working with athletes on the track and in the weight room for the past 5 years. Joe has been fortunate enough to be named Provincial Team Head Coach for the past 4 years at our national championships.
