Q- When did you start at Synergee?
Q- Do you remember anything about your first workout?
A- It was a PT session. I could not do a full sit-up, and I was introduced to the “burpee” (we’ve had a love-hate relationship ever since!)
Q- How has your fitness changed over the past few years?
A- Night and day. Before coming to Synergee I ran quite a bit but had zero strength, zero mobility, and had poor nutrition and sleep habits. Since joining Synergee (specifically Crossfit) I feel stronger, have fewer aches and pains, and my energy and focus are way better.
Q- What is your movement?
A- My favorite lift is the snatch (but It needs a lot of work). I like rope climbs. The gymnastics stuff is really fun too, (although I’m awful at it!)
Q- What is the best part about coming to Synergee?
A- So many things.. ultra clean, super friendly staff (Lucas and Joey not withstanding :)), top of the line equipment. But for me, the best part is the sense of community. Being around such healthy, positive people every day is amazing!
Q- Any advice for new folks starting in CrossFit?
A- Have fun and don’t be intimidated. Invest in some PT sessions and/or attend the lift classes to get the lifting techniques down.
Q- What are some of your goals for the upcoming months?
A- I would like to be able to do things like handstand walks and ring muscle ups, but my main goal is to be there on the day Jenni squats more than Lucas!!
